We have finished the two landings despite the unbearable heat. Neither landing have the steps installed so it's rather difficult to get up onto the landings. Well not anymore.
R spotted a pool ladder that was resting at the curb waiting for trash pick up. He had a light bulb go off in his head and brought it home. After we are done using it, he will throw it in the scrap pile to take to the scrapper. BTW all you scrappers out there. Scrap is currently at a fairly high rate, so now might be the time to take your scrap to the scrap yard.It works perfect because there are various heights at which you can step off and it has hand rails.
Look at all the instructions for a pool ladder and in multiple languages, too.
That's awesome! Just remember ... no diving! :)
ReplyDeleteJust took our scrap to the recycling place on Saturday the 16th. We were pleasantly surprised by receiving nearly $50 back!
ReplyDeleteWe had brought some rebar and were told that they don't typically take rebar, but since we had so little, he would take it. They said that rebar is made from the worst of the worst steel and the people they sell their steel to don't accept it.
Then we went to the Romeo Garden Walk and wouldn't you know, someone had this really cool, very large trellis that was made of rebar! Welded by a local welder...I was bummed we weren't that creative.
My cousin makes really cool tomato cages out of rebar.
ReplyDeleteRebar is cool, especially for garden art.
You guys need a welder. There is all kind of cool stuff you can make using a welder.
